Ron Paul Launches “Campaign for Liberty”

E-mailed letter from the Ron Paul Campaign:

Friday, June 13, 2008

Over the past 17 months you and I delivered a message of freedom, the likes of which American politics has not seen in decades. With the primary season now over, the presidential campaign has come to an end. But the Revolution has only begun.

Today I am happy to announce the official launch of the Ron Paul Campaign for Liberty. Please visit our new website and join us: http://www.campaignforliberty.com

Over the next few months I will be developing a program, assembling a team, and announcing new and exciting projects. We will have a permanent presence on the American political landscape. That I promise you.

Right now, I need your patience and support. I want the Campaign for Liberty to be a grassroots campaign; so your energy, your creativity, your feedback, and your participation are essential.

Together, we will educate our fellow Americans in freedom, sound money, non-interventionism, and free markets. We will write commentaries and broadcast videos on the news of the day. And I’ll work with friends whom I respect to design materials for homeschoolers.

Politically, we will expand the great work of our precinct leader program. We will make our presence felt at every level of government. We will keep an eye on Congress, and lobby against legislation that threatens us. And we will identify and support candidates who champion our great ideas.

“In the final analysis,” I wrote in my new book The Revolution: A Manifesto, “the last line of defense in support of freedom and the Constitution consists of the people themselves. If the people want to be free, if they want to lift themselves out from underneath a state apparatus that threatens their liberties, squanders their resources on needless wars, destroys the value of their dollar, and spews forth endless propaganda about how indispensable it is and how lost we would all be without it, there is no force that can stop them.”

Our time has come to act on these words.

May future generations look back on our work and say that these were men and women who, in a moment of great crisis, stood up to their politicians, the opinion-makers, and the establishment, and saved their country.

For liberty,

P.S. Please join me. Go to our website, www.campaignforliberty.com, and become a member of the Campaign for Liberty. Our goal is 100,000 members by September. Can we reach it?

Former Press Secretary Says Bush Lied to the American People

This article originally comes from www.libertyvoter.blogspot.com

According to the Associated Press, Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan’s new memoir claims that President Bush used “an aggressive ‘political propaganda campaign’ instead of the truth to sell the Iraq war.”

The AP article claims McClellan’s book says: [The Bush White House made] “a decision to turn away from candor and honesty when those qualities were most needed”. The title of the book is “What Happened Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception.” AP says the McClellan’s book also states: “…it was all about manipulating sources of public opinion to the president’s advantage”.

Let’s not forget that Paul O’Neil, also a former member of the Bush administration, previously came out with a book that claimed an invasion of Iraq was squarely on the table in the third cabinet meeting after the Bush administration was sworn in. This was well before the 911 attack by individuals not from or connected to Iraq. Does anyone wonder why people are distrustful and dissatisfied with the government in general?

The AP report states that McClellan accuses the media of being “complicit enablers” in the move towards war. This is no surprise to those who know that all administrations are filled with C.F.R. members, the major media are all corporate C.F.R. members, and the C.F.R. is pushing policy behind the scenes towards their goal of global socialist government.

McClellan says “I’ve become genuinely convinced otherwise” of the common belief of many Bush loyalists that the administration’s decisions have been correct. He also states that “The Iraq war was not necessary” and “Waging an unnecessary war is a grave mistake”. According to AP, McClellan says that is criticism is an effort to “be true to his Christian faith and become a better person.” As a Christian myself, I have wondered why so many Christian brothers and sisters would support an aggressive war and all the lies surrounding it.

FLOBOTS

A former business partner and fellow market technician / trader turned me on to flobots a couple of weeks ago. A few of thoughts come to mind. First I think they rock. Second, if you are into socionomics, its not hard to see the depressed and angry undertones that we expect to be signaled in mainstream by the stock market indexes soon. Third, note that the anti-liberty actions of the current administration are leading to reaction from the masses who are awakening to the message of liberty which the founders of this country encoded into the law of this land. The reaction is because our leaders no longer follow the law of this land.

Somehow, Ron Paul’s new book made it to the #1 slot for sales of nonfiction books. I say somehow, because we continued to hear how no one knew who he was during the main primary season.

128,000 (16%) vote for Ron Paul in Pennsylvania Republican Primary

John McCain is the locked in GOP candidate right? Not according to 128,000 active Pennsylvania Republicans who demand nothing less than individual liberty and a constitutional candidate. 16% of Pennsylvania’s active Republican voters have rejected another big government Republican in name only candidate and have demanded liberty.

Expelled, the new movie

“Could there have been Nazism, the idea that one race is superior to another, without Darwinism?” Awesome! Way to go Ben Stein. We can’t wait to see the whole movie.
